Amin Hayat Memorial Medical Center Kasur is one of the big centers of Hamza Foundation. It was established in 1988.
Amin Hayat Memorial Medical Center Kasur staffed with 55 personnel including Specialists, Consultants, Medical Officers / Woman Medical Officers & Para-medical staff.
In financial year 2015-1016, AHMMC Kasur managed by Hamza Foundation have provided medical services to 98,558 patients which is an increase of 13,202 patients or 13.5% as compared to year 2014-2015.
Another important milestone achieved by Hamza Foundation this year is that an evening shift has started at our AHMMC Kasur. Consultants of different specialties provide medical care at extremely subsidized fee. Also certain procedures are performed at the center.
Diabetes due to its complications is one of the major killer diseases in the world. Hamza Foundation is paying special attention towards this issue. Currently Pakistan has 7.1 million diabetic patients. Four centers i.e. Pakki Thatti, Ferozepur Road, Manawan and Kasur have dedicated Diabetes Center. The patients are registered, all investigations are done and required management is provided with quarterly follow up. Patients attend regular awareness sessions about diabetes & prevention of complications. Foot Care & Gym facility are also available. These clinics are staffed with Diabetes Physician, Health Educator, and Foot Care Assistant etc. Diabetes Educator / Coordinator visits each center on monthly basis for the purpose of monitoring/ guidance.
This year around, there were:

Newly diagnosed/registered patients having hypertension 23
A total of 633 of newly diagnosed patients having diabetes / or hypertension were registered during year 2015-2016.
A latest digital X-ray machine has been installed at AHMMC Kasur. It is the only digital machine available in the District of Kasur. This has improved the quality of resolution of x-ray films tremendously and helped in the early diagnosis of different diseases.

Ultrasound is currently investigation of choice because of being non-invasive. A latest Ultrasound Machine has been installed at Amin Hayat Memorial Medical Centre Kasur.
This service is also provided in the evening shift as well.

There is a lab where basic procedures are done like sputum for AFP staining, Blood sugar and screening of Hepatitis B & C. There is also micro lab machine of Marck for other routine chemistry tests. The bulk of routine chemistry and special chemistry are send to out centeral lab at AHMMC Pakki Thatti. The results become available online.

DIETARY ADVICE/FITNESS CENTER
An individualized attention is given to people having diabetes & / or hypertension. Similarly over weight patients are given advice regarding their diet which helps in controlling their weight in a healthy & scientific way. We have qualified Dietician and Health Educators at our AHMMC’s.
During the year 2015-16 about 4,262 patients of different categories visited dietitian for obtaining dietary advice.
This gym provides free services to registered diabetics, pre diabetics, over weight patients having hypertension and family history of diabetes. As per record during the year, 1,876 patients of different categories visited fitness center for obtaining advice as how to control their weight through physical activity.
In collaboration with Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT), it is an Out Reach Program providing Eye Care to patients coming at Amin Hayat Memorial Medical Centers run by Hamza Foundation. Patients are seen by post graduate students (FCPS) of LRBT.
In year 2015-16 a total of 11,699 patients are seen in relation with Eye diseases.
AHMMC Kasur managed by Hamza foundation also offered dental clinics. Qualified dental surgeons examine the patients and do the required procedure needed by patient.
In the year 2015-16 11,084 patients have seen by Dental Doctors at our centers and 6,435 dental procedures are performed. Most importantly, all the patients are screened for Hepatitis B and C before any dental examination. Prosthetic dentistry is also done at our centers.
Immunization is a proven tool for controlling and even eradicating infectious diseases. An immunization campaign carried out by the World Health Organization (WHO) from 1967 to 1977 resulted in the eradication of smallpox. When the program began, the disease still threatened 60% of the world’s population and killed every fourth victim.
The first diseases targeted by the EPI were diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, measles, poliomyelitis and tuberculosis.
AHMMC Kasur has the vaccination facility available.
In year 2015-16 12,496 kids have been vaccinated.
Medical Out Door
Amin Hayat Memorial Medical Center Kasur has both male and female Medical Officers. All the patients are screened in this department by experienced and qualified general physicians. The patients are sent to different departments based on their complaints after their provisional diagnosis and preliminary tests.
Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide. In 2015, 10.4 million people fell ill with TB and 1.8 million died from the disease. Six countries account for 60% of the total, with India leading the count, followed by Indonesia, China, Nigeria, Pakistan and South Africa.
Hamza Foundation is also paying a lot of attention to this disease and had setup TB Clinics at all our AHMMC’s.
The patients are screened via sputum for AFB, chest X-ray and clinical symptoms. Their record files are made once the diagnosis is confirmed.
The patients are given free treatment for the whole course of therapy i.e. 9 months.
In the 2015-2016 AHMMC Kasur has treated 2071 tuberculosis patients.
